T-Series acquires music rights of 'I' Hindi version

MUMBAI: Chiyyan Vikram's next expected release 'I' – a Tamil romantic action thriller film, will soon be dubbed in Hindi as well. The music rights of this V Ravichandran produced film has been acquired by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.

The music rights for the Tamil version of the film, which was composed by AR Rahman, was acquired by Sony Music. At the time, singers like Anirudh Ravichander, Neeti Mohan,Sid Sriram, Sunitha Sarathy, Nikita Gandhi, Haricharan, Shreya Ghoshal, Aditya Rao, Natalie Di Luccio, Chinmayee Sripada and  Sid Sriram had rendered their vocals for songs for the Tamil version. The singers also performed the tracks on the day of the film's music launch.

The Tamil version's album comprises seven tracks including one reprise and one remix. The lyrics for a few tracks were penned by Kabilan and the other three songs are written by Madhan Karky. The film's music was released in September 2014 and the launch was attended by renowned 'Terminator' actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

'I' was scripted and directed by Shankar and features Vikram and Amy Jackson along with Suresh Gopi, Upen Patel, Santhanam and Ramkumar Ganesan portraying pivotal roles. The soundtrack album and background score was composed by A. R. Rahman.
