MUMBAI: Amidst much fanfare & Tollywood Celebrity presence, Reliance Media World's radio arm 92.7 BIG FM hosted biggest ever celebration of Music in Tollywood. The Nokia BIG Ugadi Music Awardscelebrated to honor the best in Tollywood music recently concluded its finale...

The soul of any Indian film is Music and the Tollywood film industry with over  200+ films, 1000 songs, 100 singers & more than 25 music directors clearly lacked an authentic platform to celebrate MUSIC. With this background, 92.7 BIG FM, known for the superlative entertainment mix had its Hyderabad Station conceptualize Tollywoods first and only MUSIC AWARDS in 2009. After a grand success last year and with the endeavor to make BIG UGADI MUSIC AWARDS as Tollywood's Biggest Music Awards, the  ceremony was hosted this year again, on the occasion of UGADI (Telugu New Year) awarding excellence in music released over the last year.

Another unique offering of the award, is that instead of celebrating the Best Music Director of the year..., the popular category celebrates 6 Music Directors representing Six flavors of Music for the year... inspired from the 6 tastes of popular Ugadi Chutney (combination of Sweet, Sour, Tangy, Bitter, Salt, Spicy). This innovative offering comes from the insight that music is multi-faceted in nature & the way people consume music is not uni-dimensional.

The Jury for the awards comprised of renowned Tollywood personalities like Senior producer Thamma Reddy Bharadwaj, Music Directors Koti & RP Patnaik

The awards was aggressively promoted by 92.7 BIG FM & ETV, apart from radio & TV, the campaign had complete 360 degree visibility in print, online, outdoor, & on ground voting

The awards ceremony hosted at Shilpakalavedika  was colourful & further enlivened by the glittering presence of who's who of Tollywood industry Chiranjeevi, Veturi, Devi Sree Prasad, Dasari Narayana Rao, Mani Sharma, Mickey J Mayer, Chakri, Navdeep, Varun Sandesh, Shekhar Komula, Surender Reddy, Archana, Richa and Madhushalini just to name a few
