MY FM organizes MY MUSIC MARATHON

MUMBAI: MY FM’s second edition of ‘MY MUSIC MARATHON’ was actualized simultaneously across 8 cities (Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Jalandhar, Raipur and Jaipur) on 6 July from 8.30am to 10.30pm. Continuing from its massive success in the previous edition, ‘MY MUSIC MARATHON’ saw huge participation and a deeper connect with the listeners this year.
More than 2 lakh people witnessed and over 2000 people participated and sang at the event across 8 cities and actively contributed in the record attempt by MY FM for non-stop singing for 14 hours. Gracing the occasion across cities were various celebrities and bureaucrats with the Hon’ble minister of Industry and Employment Kailash Vijayvargia attending in Bhopal, In Jaipur the Mayor Jyoti Khandelwal was accompanied by Vishwa Mohan Bhatt to witness the record breaking attempt. Celebrities like RIMZ J, Ammy Virk and Jassi Jasraj kept the crowd engaged in Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad saw Arvind Wedga of ‘Bhai Bhai’ Fame, Hiral Bhrambhatt of ‘Rangreez Fame’ and Shayam Shumil- the stalwart of Gujarati music industry attended and cheered the participants till the last hour. The entire exercise was planned to provide superior musical experience to listeners with evergreen melodious songs.
Commenting on this initiative, MY FM CEO Harrish M Bhatia said, “We have always strived to deliver the best to our listeners and this has been no different, MY MUSIC MARATHON has turned out to be a very popular property for our station and hence we came out with the second edition of the same, this initiative resonates with our tag line Jiyo Dil Se and we thank our listeners for coming out in great numbers and Singing Dil Se for making this event a grand success”.
The first edition of the marathon, held in June 2011 created a big buzz and entered the Limca book of records for 12 hours of Non- Stop music and singing and amplifying the effort this year, Music Marathon has bettered the record as the musical fiesta continued for 14 hours, the final validation from Limca book of records is awaited.
