DW-Radio launches FM news in Bangladesh
MUMBAI: Deutsche Welle, Germany's international broadcaster, has officially launched DWRADIO/Bengali on FM in Bangladesh, making it available to listeners in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur daily between 8:00 and 8:30 am and 8:00 and 8:30 pm. DW-RADIO programming is broadcast via Bangladesh Betar's FM network: 97.6 MHz in Dhaka, 105.4 MHz in Chittagong, 105.0 MHz in Sylhet, 102.0 MHz in Khulna, 105.0 MHz in Rajshahi and 105.4 MHz in Rangpur. Deutsche Welle offers international and regional news for listeners in Bangladesh. DW-Radio/Bengali additionally broadcasts current affairs programs, background reports and 10-minute radio magazines which include topics on youth and campus, health, women, culture, music, science, sports, environment and lifestyle.
