Oz Fest host 'The Aussie BBQ' live tour in India
MUMBAI: To expand the cultural ties between Australia and India, the biggest international cultural event ‘The Oz fest’ is all set to introduce Australia’s top bands who will perform a special act at the Aussie BBQ Tour in India
Held across four cities Pune, Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore, the tour will feature renowned bands such as Prog rock giants Karnivool who will headline the concert. The tour will also feature indie outfit Big Scary, DJ duo The Aston Shuffle, afro-pop rhythms Jinja Safari and indie pop bands Sheppard.
The Aussie BBQ tour presented by Sounds Australia in partnership with Only Much Louder (OML) will kick start on 2-4 November at Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune followed by Mumbai on 7 November, New Delhi on 10 November and Bangalore on 11 November
Speaking about the tour, Karnivool vocalist Ian Kelly said, “We share a philosophy that music allows us to see different parts of the world, and what better place to put that into practice than in India. With this in mind we'll take on, and take in, all that India's cities, people, music and culture have to offer.”
The Aussie BBQ has become a global name in music, made famous over the years by showcasing Aussie bands at music festivals such as SXSW (Austin, Texas), Canadian Music Week (Toronto), Music Matters (Singapore), The Great Escape (UK) and CMJ Music Marathon (New York).
