Raga Boyz will release chain of albums in India

MUMBAI: Despite all the difference, music has been a common chain connecting the two countries-India and Pakistan. Musicians from Pakistan have always been loved and appreciated for their wonderful musical skills in India. Over years, many artistes have made it a habit to come back to India to showcase their talents; one such band is Raga Boyz who is popular in this sub-continent and has travelled around the world performing.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, lead vocalist Wali Hamid Ali says, “The love from Indians' and migrated Indians' around the world have been encouraging for us as artistes. We always enjoy performing in India so we come back every year.” The Band will be performing at Blue Frog - Mumbai and Delhi on 5 and 6 July respectively.

They will perform from their latest album ‘Raga Rocks – The Ultimate Raga Fusion’. “In India, we have done 35 concerts and shows. The people greet us with same warmth every time,” says Inam Ali who is a hard core classical singer and the youngest brother among the three Ali brothers.

In 2012, Raga Boyz had rendered the track ‘Mann Qunto Maula’ for the film ‘Maximum’. Speaking about the bollywood music industry, the eldest of Ali brothers, Nayab Ali states, “In India, there is lot of focus on Bollywood compared to Pakistani music industry where classical and Sufi music is given more prominence. In terms of the pattern in music industry, India and Pakistan are two different worlds. But now the music of Bollywood has started gaining importance in Pakistan. Bollywood has created a name and fame around the world today."  Nayab is a classical and semi classical singer. He is known for soulful renditions of classical and Sufi melodies.

Wali Hamid states that Bollywood is golden opportunity, which we would grab to attract more and more attention to our music. “After composing for Bollywood, we become more popular which helped us to reach newer audience with our existing songs.”

“Our focus is not Bollywood alone; we would like to do music everywhere and anywhere. We just wish that our music is enjoyed by everyone,” adds Inam.

Nayab says, “We have plans to release a chain of album in India in coming years. The latest album that will be out is with Neha Kakkar who will be singing in a way that is unheard.” Neha Kakkar has rendered many item number in Bollywood.

Currently, they have five to six Bollywood projects that they are working on. “We are currently working on a Sufi-based love song that will out in the upcoming film that is under Remo production,” Wali says.
