Saregama to launch Vishakha Hari's Srinivasa Kalyanam
BANGALORE: Harikatha artist Vishakha Hari is back with a new discourse on the much loved story of Srinivasa's Kalyanam with Padmavathi. The DVD will be released on the last day of 2010 by Vishakha Hari at Brahma Gaana Sabha at 6 pm with a small prayer. The first copy was offered to Lord Vinayaka.
Srinivas Kalyanam is the story of how Lord Srinivasa / Balaji came to marry Princess Padmavathy, daughter of Akasa Raja, and begins with the story of Lord Srinivasa Himself. It is told by Vishaka Hari, combining words, music and lyrics to create an evocative experience for the viewer.

Vishaka Hari is a celebrated practitioner of the age-old art form of Kathakalakshepam, the art of story telling by weaving together music in a concert-discourse format. She was presented with the Vasantha Shresht award by the Vasantha Memorial Trust in October 2007. Discourses such as Shree Aandal Kalyanam, Sundarakandam, Seetha Kalyanam, Rukmini Kalyanam, Prahalada Charitram have already been tremendous success and have cemented her as a master story teller in the hearts of millions.
