Time Music launches Bindu Subramaniam debut album 'Surrender'
MUMBAI: Times Music has launched Bindu Subramaniam's debut album - Surrender on Thursday, 5th April 2011 in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The launch was graced by Louis Banks, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Dr. L Subramaniam, Sofia Hayat, Luke Kenny and Devaki Singh - directors of Surrender's music video
The album consist of 10 tracks which includes compositions by Bindu Subramaniam, specially written lyrics by Dr. L. Subramaniam, American songwriters Dan Santner, Vince Constantino and Wendy Parr Although completely in English, the album features konnakol (vocal percussion), alaaps and some Indian instrumentation which has become Bindu's trademark style. Bindu's band consists of Alwyn Fernandes (listed as one of the top 10 rock guitarists in the country by Rolling Stone magazine), Keith Peters, Wojciech Wieczorek, Maciej Garbowski, Arun Kumar and Kurt Peters
Produced by Dr. L Subramaniam and Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, album also features Grammy nominated singer Matthew Santos.
The music video �Superstar' has been directed by VJ, actor, director Luke Kenny and Devaki Singh. The video has special appearances by members of the Subramaniam family – Dr. L Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, Narayana Subramaniam and Ambi Subramaniam.

Bindu Subramaniam as a songwriter and composer has received honorable mention at the 16th Annual Billboard World Song Contest (2009), the 17th Annual Billboard World Song Contest (2010) and was a Top 20 Finalist (Performance) at the 12th Annual Unisong International Song Contest (2009).
Bindu Subramaniam daughter of well know musician and singer Dr. L.
