MUMBAI: ‘Hassena Tu Kamina Main’ singer Rahul Pandey is currently working on an English single, which will release in a couple of months. He has collaborated with Bojana Miladanovic, songwriter from Switzerland for same. Pandey will be handling composing and singing duties for the upcoming single.

“It is my first single and I am really excited for my debut independent project. I think an artist should always keep creating music for himself or herself. Creating music for yourself will actually display the kind of a person you are. The best part is that you are not bound to any scripts so you can experiment and can actually follow your heart,” said Pandey.

According to him, this has helped him grow as an artist. He had recently also worked with the composers of ‘Swagger’ from ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ Tanishk Vayu, for a track in the dance reality show, ‘Dance Plus.’

He has also given vocals for the song ‘Jab We Met’ from Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty starrer ‘Hero.’ The music of the song is composed by Sachin Jigar and the lyrics are penned by Niranjan Iyengar.

“The track was recorded a while ago and I had to be careful to keep the element of peppiness and still deliver the emotions. So it took me a little longer to record the track and I’m happy that the track was released in my voice and I have been getting great responses for the same,” explained Pandey.

Thanking director Nikhil Advani and music composer Sachin-Jigar for giving him this track, Pandey picks ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ sung by Salman Khan and composed by Amaal Mallik, as his favourite track from the ‘Hero’ album.

Currently, he is also working with a lot of upcoming music composers for jingles and TV commercials.
