MUMBAI: Bollywood beauties and hunks singing their film songs is now becoming a trend. We have heard Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan amongst others sing songs for their films. These tracks usually garner enough media and public attention, motivating the filmmakers and music composers to churn out many more of these artist driven songs.
The latest production house to make its artist sing is Fox Star Studios. The studio's upcoming film 'Akira' will have a promotional song with its lead actor Sonakshi Sinha. The actress who tried her hands at music last year with T-Series single 'Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai' recorded 'Raj Raj Ke' for AR Murugadoss's 'Akira'.
In her statement to the media, the 'Dabangg' actress said, "The song is about rage about how she will not stay silent and will fight back. That's the spirit of the song."
She further added, "It was actually a very spur of the moment thing and honestly all my rehearsal happened while shooting the video."
Sinha further narrated that she would end up singing the song while shooting for its film video and this is when the producers felt that she should sing it.
The film is set to release on 2 September 2016.
