MUMBAI: &TV's 'The Voice India Kids' contestants are battling it out in true warrior style. Thus, it gets really tough for the judges and the audiences to choose one over the others. But, going by the format of the reality show two contestants exit every week and this time it’s Shanmukha Priya and Ridipta Sharma.
Elimination does break hearts, but these young girls are returning on a positive note. “I will be focusing on studies at the moment. However, singing will always be a priority but not at the cost of education. I will practise more and hopefully, will become a successful playback singer one day,” says Shanmukha, the girl who stole the judges’ hearts during the blind auditions with ‘Kill Dill’.
Ridipta from Assam says, “I am back home now and life is as it was before. I am focusing on studies now, while music will always remain a priority.” Now, that’s indeed a very positive attitude.
After a short stint on ‘The Voice’, the girls have moved back to studies, but they are holding close the musical learnings. In fact, while Shanmukha is sure of making the best of the learnings, Ridipta is overwhelmed to have experienced the change in here. “I learnt how to perform in front of the camera and live audience. This has helped me to overcome stage fear,” avers the young singer.
Both Shanmukha and Ridipta admit to having received fame through the reality show, it’s not something that they will miss now. They will miss the company of their co-contestants who became their friends in the journey.
Lastly, they hope to get an opportunity to work with judges in future. “They have guided me on this show with a promise to help me in all ways possible otherwise as well. I hope I get to work with them in the future,” confessed Ridipta.
