MUMBAI: It’s been almost two months since Shaan downloaded his official app with an objective to help him get closer to his fans. But the Deewangi Deewangi singer is too tied up with his schedule to actually invest time in his app.
Shaan is happy with the response on the app along with numerous downloads on it. But he feels he isn’t doing justice to his fans as he is usually pressed for time. “App is a very long-term thing and we aren’t sure about continuing it. There are some technical issues too. I feel guilty that there is a hardcore fan out there and I am not able to deliver what they should get,” said the singer.
Shaan who is also judging The Voice Kids 2 show is busy with his schedule. “The only thing is that when you are simultaneously feeding so many apps together, there is Facebook, Instagram all with huge numbers. Also, Twitter on which I am little too active, then I think where is the life. I am just feeding these platforms,” said Shaan.
Being a celebrity and connecting with the audience in the digitally fast-moving world is today a must. Shaan being a family person and somebody who loves his own space finds it hard to be active on social media.
The Char Kadam singer now has plans to do his best to keep the app alive. “I will plan to dedicate time once a week for the fans. It is a great app that helps me with feedbacks. I think I will use the app for my next single where I can ask people to help me choose a track. Sometimes you love what you have done but you do not have the pulse of the audience so this is a good way to find out I guess,” he ended.
