MUMBAI: Popular in the Indian and international wedding circuit, wedding rapper Siddharth Sood aka MC Sid has released music video of Maa on the occasion of Mother’s Day.  Different from his musical forte, the song is dedicated to his mother.

Speaking about the song, MC Sid says, “This is a very special song, I had written for my mother almost three years ago. But, I feel that Mother’s Day was the right time to release it. It’s like a special gift to my mother, who will be celebrating her 55^th birthday soon. The experience was completely different and emotional.”

“I have written the rap and helped in the composition, while my friend Vivek has crooned the song. My other friend Jeet has produced music of Maa.”

While the music video released today on the official YouTube handle of MC Sid, Maa’s audio version was already available on Saavn, while it was released on YouTube last year.

MC Sid further speaks about featuring in the video, “I have featured in my videos earlier, but it is for the first time, I have done something special for my mom. It’s basically just me, while I have used pictures of my mom as she is camera shy and didn’t wanted to be in the frame.”

He also gives a message on the occasion of Mother’s Day, “I want to say that mothers are absolutely essential. Without a mother’s support, no Indian child can really make it in this world. Her support is crucial. Mothers are just very precious.”

He also reveals, why he is proud of his mother, “My mother has always been very supportive. She is the only person, I can bully. A boy and his mother’s relationship is different from that of a father-daughter.”

Meanwhile, MC Sid is currently working on a project with Sukhbir and on a Punjabi project with Simar Kaur.
