MUMBAI: Ever since Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s anthem WAP was released, the TikTok challenges have been coming through thick and fast.
And the internet’s favourite has to be the WAP dance, involving choreography that requires serious skill.
Watch here:
Choreographer Brian Esperon created the dance, which has since been performed by Cardi and Megan fans across the globe – including some famous faces.
In fact, stars from Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes to James Charles and Addison Rae have given their own takes on the iconic dance, with some truly bizarre ones needing an honourable mention.
As an added bonus, some have even caught the eye of Queen Cardi, with her giving a stamp of approval to those who have impressed her with their moves, and we can truly think of no higher honour.
Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes
Jena Frumes absolutely aced the choreography as she performed the WAP dance in front of her pool – well, at least we think she did.
We didn’t quite have the chance to find out, as her unimpressed boyfriend, Savage Love singer and TikTok king Jason Derulo, wasn’t having any of it.
Walking in front of her during the dance, he gave her a swift kick, with Jena landing in the pool right on the lyrics: ‘That’s some wet…’
Apt, but cruel Jason. We reckon she deserves a redo!

James Charles certainly went for it with his rendition of the dance, with Cardi B giving it her seal of approval.
Making use of the trampoline in his new house, the YouTuber gave it his all, finishing up with a flip.
Special shout-out goes to the camera operator for giving the video an extra bit of pizzazz.
And his efforts clearly paid off, with Cardi retweeting the video and writing: ‘I f**kin love it.’
Addison Rae…and her mum
We all knew Addison was going to bring out her moves, giving a pretty much flawless performance of the dance, and making us all jealous in the meantime.
However, things got a bit competitive when the TikTok star’s mum Sheri Easterling got involved.
Rocking a very apt leopard print dress, Sheri put us all to shame with her attempt, with Addison duetting the video and looking just about as horrified as you can imagine.
Go on Sheri!
Lele Pons
While Lele Pons certainly seemed to be giving the choreography her best shot, vlogger Juanpa Zurita wasn’t having any of it.
After the internet star went for it, Juanpa was clearly more on Jason Derulo’s page, interrupting to take over the video.
A redo for Lele is definitely needed!
Bretman Rock
YouTuber Bretman also impressed Cardi with his take on the dance, making use of a pole for his attempt.
He gets extra points thanks to his cousin Kieffer, who co-starred in the video.
Stealing the show, she ran across the frame with a bucket and mop while Bretman slayed the dance in the foreground.
It has style, it has skill, it has layers – we’re impressed, and so was Cardi, simply telling him: ‘I love you.’
Nia Sioux
The former Dance Moms star definitely wasn’t afraid to laugh at herself as she took on the iconic dance.
Smashing the choreography, the 19-year-old captioned it: ‘Don’t remember this episode of DanceMoms.’
Neither do we, Nia. Neither do we.
Willy Wonka
Hear us out on this one – he might not be a celebrity in the mainstream sense, but WillyWonkaTikTok has definitely made a splash on TikTok.
Boasting 10 million followers on the platform, the cosplayer, who dresses up as the Johnny Depp character, has become known for his thirst traps.
And, quite frankly, the WAP dance might be the weirdest one yet.
