Meron T and Sey G Return With R&B-Tinged 'Dailyy/ Crazy out of Love'

MUMBAI: Love and heartbreak, it's a moment in time many of us can relate to. Meron T's 'Dailyy' and 'Crazy out of Love' were made at a time of transitioning out of a romantic relationship into a platonic friendship instead - and speaks on the emotional battles of adjusting, and that friendship not working out. Produced by Sey G, the soulful release was Meron T's prominent thoughts, a freestyle of feelings and emotions present at the time. "They were a big part of my healing, giving me not only a release but also strength and perspective to deal with my heartbreak,” the artist explains. "I hope for it to resonate with any listeners going through a similar emotional experience, to draw parallels to and heal through.”

Meron T is a singer, songwriter, and aspiring producer. Her influences reflect both her Ethiopian/Eritrean heritage and south London birthplace. Black soul and r&b music continues to inspire her stylistic approach to music, taking early inspiration from the likes of Aaliyah, D’ Angelo, Brandy and Micheal Jackson. Some musical highlights include the 2018 single and debut video release of 'Hunny,' produced by Sey G. ‘Can We’, followed by ‘Escape’ were released the following year shortly followed by the release of 'Mirage', a 5 track EP at the end of November 2019. This was a notable milestone in her career, and was a stepping stone into releasing a comprehensive body of work for the independent artist.

Sey G’s music, his recent productions with the hypnotizing Meron T and the well-received track ‘Hunny’ further portrays the ‘less is more’ idea. ‘Hunny’ also landed itself on the XL Recordings Spotify playlist with nearly 500k plays.
