MUMBAI: The opening ceremony of Indian Premiere League Season 8 which is to be held at Salt Lake City, Kolkata, promises to be a grand one. With tinsel town celebrities performing at the opening ceremony, famed Bollywood composer, Pritam along with his band of singers including Ash King, Nakash Aziz, Antara Mitra and a few others will grace the occasion. As the opening ceremony will be in Kolkata and Pritam himself being a Bengali, his first song for the performance will be a Bengali track.

“We are all very excited to perform with Pritam da as the more you share the stage with him the more you grow. And IPL, as we all know, is something that is extremely huge in our country so yes it is going to be super awesome. I have performed for the show 'IPL Superstars' and I know the vibe that the game has, but it is the first time I will be a part of the opening ceremony," said Anatara Mitra.

When asked about her favorite team in the latest edition of the IPL, she promptly replied," I am a Bengali so the first team I would support is Kolkata Knight Riders, and since I live in Mumbai the second would be Mumbai Indians."

Rehearsals for the gig will start over the weekend, and Pritam has apparently, already zeroed down on a few songs.
