Whether local or national, irrespective of the size of the market, the best RJ is the one who connects the most with his audience through his unique style, ability to address local issues and has a large following on radio and if she is present on social media. We would evaluate style, initiatives, social media numbers and recall as the parameter and extrapolate it basis the size of the market and look at the depth of the association. We are not accepting entries for this category. The entries submitted for Best RJ Zonal will be counted as entries for this category.

Any innovation by a radio station for a client partner which has been a week long activity on air at least and combines all elements like on air , on ground, outdoor, print, Digital, Social and overall communication plan.

Best in-house Ad for a client

A jingle created by the radio station for a local or corporate advertiser. It should have been produced entirely in-house. And run On-Air for a week at least.

Best CSR Initiative/ Local community connect initiative

A campaign carried out by a radio station where the station has a social message to spread or be a change agent or a catalyst to a social cause .

A filler which features iconic characters which become synonymous with a radio station and create a strong station identity and has been run for a month at least.

Radio is no longer a static medium which is heard while driving or as a background medium. The stations are connecting with listeners through online and social media by creating user engagements through content. Independent station initiatives (Non-client) to make radio relevant to its listeners.

This award is for the best use of Radio to augment the other marketing activities being undertaken for a brand. (Not for self promotions of the Radio brand) Advertisers, Media Agencies, Ad Agencies and Radio Stations may participate.

This category is for any programme that showcases the efficacy of a community station - events, social initiative and campaign, through which radio has been used to affect the community in a positive way.

Rules & Regulations

Rules

  • The competition is open only for all Indian Radio Stations (All Languages)
  • The programme/ campaign must be aired, for the first time, within the period - 1st Jan 2019 - 31st December 2019 for Indian audience/ market.
  • Programmes in all languages are allowed to participate. Regional radio and community radio stations are also eligible for Radio Connex 2020.
  • If the audio entry is in a regional language, the English translation of the content to be filled in the form. Other supporting data must be submitted in English only.
  • The entrant must submit the original work created and executed for them or they are authorized to submit the work and other details on behalf of the client for whom it was created and executed.
  • The same work can be submitted in multiple categories that deems fit. There is no limit on the number of the submission of entries in any category by one entrant. However, the same entry cannot be submitted by multiple parties/departments.
  • For all categories, individual entries will not be accepted. The entry has to be a corporate entry. This means the individual candidate nomination for an award should have been forwarded by the company / corporate / radio station with the appropriate management approval.
  • Only entries that are complete and meet the necessary requirements will be accepted.
  • Full payment needs to be done by or before 23 May 2020 for the entries to be qualified for the judging process.
  • There will be no refunds of the entry fees, even if they have been rejected by the Jury.
  • Entries once submitted and accepted by Indian Television Dot Com Pvt. Ltd. will be considered as final. No alterations will be permitted. No entries will be accepted after the specified date under any circumstances.
  • The Jury and governing body's decision will be final.
  • Authorization letter / Letter of declaration form is mandatory. The authorizing letter must be on company letterhead detailing total number of entries along with the Category name, Name of the campaign/ nominees being specified clearly. This letter must be signed by Senior Authority/CXO of the company with the company seal.
  • Disclaimer: Radio Connex (Indiantelevision Dot Com Pvt. Ltd.) considers that the entrant has read all the rules and regulations carefully and thereby accepts it. Indiantelevision Dot Com Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible in case of any plagiarism, falsification or infringement and the entry will be disqualified.
  • Indiantelevision Dot Com Pvt. Ltd. automatically obtains the right on all the information and videos submitted and is authorized to use the same for creating promotional material with the entrant's / brand's credits for Radio Connex Awards.

Guidelines

Click here to create login ID and password to register.

The registration will be complete post verification by Radioandmusic.com. The login ID and password created will be activated and notified to both applicant via e-mail confirmation.

Once the Login ID and Password is activated, the applicant can login and select the desired categories and proceed to fill the entries. The entire submission process is online.

To submit the entry:

  • Click on Login and enter your User ID and Password.
  • Select the desired categories.
  • Click on the "Next" Button.
  • List of all the categories selected will appear. In case you want to put multiple entries in the same category, click on the "Add More" button.
  • Click on the category and fill in prescribed contents of the form and attached the supporting material.
  • Add video/ audio embedded link of the entry. You can upload you video/ audio links on Youtube, Google Drive and SoundCloud. Make sure the video/ audio links are public and only embedded links are uploaded in the entry form.
  • RJ categories:

  • All RJ entries will be by default eligible for Best RJ (Editor's Choice)
  • Content should be submitted in English/any Indian language which will then be translated to English.
  • The duration of the audio would be of minimum 30 mins and maximum 45 mins. It should not include the tracks/songs played. Rjing, FM radio station jingle, listener and celebrity call-ins and any other progamming element as done on air can be included.
  • Trade categories:

  • The campaign's Audio Samples which include Radio Jingle, Promos, RJ Mentions, OB Links - Duration to this would be minimum 20 mins & maximum 30 mins.
  • The entry can also be supported by PPT or video (maximum 5mins).
  • For Best interstitial category: Submit minimum 3 and maximum 5 audio samples which have run on-air.
  • Programming Categories:

  • The campaign's Audio Samples which include Radio Jingle, Promos, RJ Mentions, OB Links - Duration to this would be minimum 30 mins & maximum 45 mins.
  • Click on the Next Button to save the submission.
  • To Edit the entry, click on Home button. Click on the Edit button of the entry you want to make any changes in.
  • Click on Home button and then select Authorization tab to upload the Authorization letter/ Letter of declaration.
  • The Radio Connex team will share the Proforma Invoice basis the number of entries you have selected. You can proceed to make payment. Payment details are mentioned below.
  • We will share the Tax invoice once we receive the full payment.

Entries once submitted and accepted by Radioandmusic.com, will be considered as final. No alterations, replacements will be permitted after 23 May 2020.

Radio Connex Awards Jury and Radio Connex Governing Body's decisions will be final and binding for all the applicants.

The jury and the governing body of the Radio Connex Awards reserves the right not to award a winner in any particular category, if the quality of the entries does not meet up to the required standards.
