T-Series enters top 10 YouTube channels worldwide

MUMBAI: Homegrown music label T-Series made it to the top 10 YouTube channels worldwide in February 2016.

With 455.4 million views, T-Series has climbed up the ranks to enter the prized 10, followed by Turkish music channel netd muzik (426.7 m). Singer Taylor Swift came in at 14th place with 334.5 m views, and Adele with 269.7 m views and Coldplay with 269 m views joined her in the top 20 bracket.

According to industry watcher Tubefilter, T-Series' all time subscriptions stand at an impressive 9,588,046, and it has a Slate score of 681. A Slate Score is the ranking given out by OpenSlate, the video content analytics platform.

The number one position was retained by Justin Bieber, with his videos watched 721.6m times in February. Bieber now has more than 20 million subscribers to his channel, and is about to reach 10 bn lifetime views.

According to The Guardian, Bieber was joined in the top 10 this February by an eclectic mix of other YouTube channels. They include children’s channels Ryan’s Toys Review, Family Fun Pack, Masha and the Bear, Little Baby Bum and Get Movies. Wrestling body WWE had the third-biggest channel in February. Apart from T-Series, The Ellen Show also appeared in the top 10.
