NEW DELHI: The Asian School of Media Studies owned by Marwah Studios head Sandeep Marwah, based in the film city Noida  has been given permission to establish, maintain and operate a Community Radio Station. With this, the number of CRs will increase to 59 in the country.

Mirchi, Big battle it out in Bangalore, Kolkata

MUMBAI:  It's a neck to neck fight between Radio Mirchi and Big FM in Kolkata and Bangalore. In Bangalore, Big FM kept up its lead in week 41 with a slim margin over overall metro leader Mirchi, but Radio Mirchi stayed a slight distance ahead of Big in Kolkata. In Delhi, it was AIR's FM Gold station that nearly touched Fever for securing second position, just behind Mirchi. In Mumbai however, Mirchi retained its comfortable lead over Red FM.

CR station to come up at Dharamshala

MUMBAI: The Tibetan Children's Village School at Dharamshala Cantt. Himachal Pradesh has signed the GOPA with the ministry of information and broadcasting for establishing, maintaining and operating a Community Radio Station.

Letter of Intent had been issued to the organization after recommendations of Inter Ministerial Committee and seeking requisite clearances from various Ministries. The Community Radio Station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement. With this, the number of CRS will increase to 58 in the country.

MUMBAI: The information and broadcasting ministry has signed a Grant of Permission Agreement for establishing, maintaining and operating a Community Radio Station at Union Park Residents Association, Khar Bandra, Mumbai. A Letter of Intent had been issued to the Institute after recommendations of Inter Ministerial Committee and seeking requisite clearances from various Ministries. The Community Radio Station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement. With this, the number of CRS will increase to 57 in the country.

MUMBAI: K S Rangaswamy Educational Institutions, Namakkal, Tamilnadu has signed a Grant of Permission Agreement with the ministry of information and broadcasting for operating a Community Radio Station.

The Community Radio Station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement. With this, the number of CRS will increase to 56 in the country.

CR station to come up at Gurgaon

MUMBAI: The Restoring Force (TRF) a Gurgaon based voluntary organization has signed the Grant of Permission Agreement with the information and broadcasting ministry to start a community radio station at Gurgaon.

The TRF radio Station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement. With this, the number of CRS will increase to 55 in the country.

Nine community radio stations get government nod

MUMBAI:The Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry has granted permission to nine institutions and NGOs for setting up of community radio stations (CRS) in Kerala.

The institutions and NGOs that got licences include DC School of Management, Kottayam, University of Calicut, Wayanad Social Service, Imperial Foundation Trust, Adoor, Vrindavan Trust, Cherthala, Thirumala Trust, Alappuzha, Mar Athanasius College of Advanced Studies, Thiruvalla and Amrutham Bio-organic Research Centre, Palakkad.
