RAM: Radio City tops in Mumbai and Bengaluru

MUMBAI: A fall in shares and T.S.L. figures did not stop Radio City from reaching the summit once again in the city of Mumbai. Radio City ended the week (03 January to 09 January) with 17.6 percent of shares and T.S.L. of 5.2. With the same percent in shares and T.S.L. of 6.14, Big FM followed at the second position due to lower CUME ratings compared to Radio City. Fever FM (shares- 14.9 percent, T.S.L.- 6.31), Radio Mirchi (shares- 13.6 percent, T.S.L.- 4.15) and Red FM retained the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. Oye! FM finished the week at the last position with shares of 3.1 percent.

No changes in positions were noted in the National Capital Region, with Fever FM dominating Delhi for the second week in 2016. Shares of 19.1 percent and T.S.L. of 4.59 guaranteed Fever FM the top spot, followed by Radio Mirchi which managed 14.5 percent of shares and T.S.L. of 3.46. Retaining the third position, Radio City improved its figure with a rise of 0.1 percent in shares, and T.S.L. of 3.36. Big FM, too, managed to improve its figures as the radio station ended the week with 11.8 percent shares and T.S.L. of 3.37. Red FM, Oye! FM and Hit FM followed at fifth, sixth and seventh positions respectively.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi touched 20 percent in shares and an improved T.S.L. of 4.38. Fever FM climbed up a position to second spot, with the shares of 14.6 percent and T.S.L. of 5.21. Replacing Fever FM at the third spot, Big FM managed shares of 14 percent and T.S.L of 4.47. The rest of the chart for Kolkata remained unchanged with Oye! FM (shares- 10.5 percent), Aamar FM (shares- 9.9 percent) and Red FM (7.9 percent) retaining the fourth, fifth and sixth positions.

Bengaluru continued to host the radio stations with the highest and the lowest figures in shares across the country. Radio City topped the city's chart with last week's figure - 23.7 percent- and T.S.L. of 9.53. Big FM followed Radio City, at the second position, albeit with a fall in shares by 0.6 percent compared to last week. Radio Mirchi retained the third spot with the shares of 16.6 percent and T.S.L of 7.49. Fever FM (shares- 13.9 percent) and Red FM (shares- 4.7 percent) followed the top three, at fourth and fifth positions respectively, followed by a station that recorded the lowest figures in shares across the country with 1.9 percent.
