92.7 BIG FM and AVON Cycles come together for the Grand Finale of the cycle rally - AVON Cylcogreen

MUMBAI: After the super success of the previous year's cycle rally called AVON Cylcogreen, Reliance Broadcast Network's radio arm 92.7 BIG FM and AVON Cycles continued the initiative this year to engage the citizens of India to take a unique pledge to cycle to work at least once in a week. The initiative has been crafted for a better and greener tomorrow. The AVON CYCLOGREEN rally saw its national flag off from Chandigarh on 24th November 2011 post which it traveled across 36 cities of India saw its grand culmination at Millennium City IT Park in Sector 5, Salt Lake.

The rally evoked an enthusiastic across every city in India and Kolkata was no exception. There were a total 50 plus cyclists who took part in the rally. The presence of TV stars like Pallavi Chatterjee, Manali Dey & Rajiv Bose heightened the excitement all around.

Like in other cities lucky winners of a contest got themselves a cycle duly autographed by RJ Koushik.

Through the entire course of this promotion the 92.7 BIG FM team, led by the RJ's, have been encouraging the local populace, to use their bicycle at least once a week. The RJ's have been motivating the listeners to support the cause and adopt the habit of cycling.

There are several options to contribute to the environment, but the act of cycling once a week is the easiest and the healthiest. Not only is it environment friendly but is also healthy. 92.7 BIG FM which lives its brand-line – Suno Sunao, Life Banao, in each of its offerings, has always conceptualized initiatives that contribute positively to the lives of listeners and this is yet another initiative in the same space. 92.7 BIG FM has partnered with the leading cycle manufacturer of the country - AVON Cycles for this activity and has been able to create a sizeable impact across India.
