Delhi's Radio City 91.1 FM partners IIT-Delhi for Rendezvous 2008
MUMBAI: Capturing Delhi's youthful vivacity through yet another one-of-its-kind initiative, Delhi's Radio City 91.1FM partnered Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi to support Rendezvous 2008. Hosted from Sept 18-21, 2008 by IIT-Delhi, Rendezvous is among the largest cultural college festivals in Northern India with participation from over 400 Indian colleges and attendance from over 30,000 students.
As part of this association, Delhi's Radio City 91.1FM infused its brand of 'Whatte Fun' all along the 4-day affair. The FM station created a buzz around the Fest through on-air contests with listeners winning exclusive entry to events such as 'Blitzkrieg', 'Professional Nite' and 'Illusionaire-The Magic Show'. Delhi's Radio City 91.1FM was also the Presenting Sponsor for 'Mr. & Ms. Rendezvous' and conducted a fun contest on 'Double Dose' with RJs Charu and Fabeha where 1 listener bagged a wild-card entry into the race for the much awaited Personality Title.
Adding to the vibrancy of the 4-day Fest, Delhi's Radio City 91.1FM resonated the festivities with sustained interactivity and ground presence with RJs conducting fun games and hosting various events. RJ Ved of 'Retro Caf?©' hosted 'Spectrum' a Group Dance Competition with great panache while RJ Charu, co-host of 'Double Dose' who's known for his quick wit and spontaneity, hosted Kaleidoscope, a theme based fashion performance. Joyride's RJ Varun hosted 'Mr. & Ms. Rendezvous' the Finale of which concluded Rendezvous 2008.
