MUMBAI: Choklate Information Department, popularly known, as CID104 is one of the oldest programmes of Radio Choklate 104 fm Odisha's Apna No 1 channel, a division of Eastern Media Ltd.

CID 104 is a one-minute infotainment capsule aired every hour from 7.30am to 9.30pm. A daily dose of fresh 15 capsules are Aired everyday, the content being information on health, science, interesting facts, weather sports, film, and above all local happenings. The USP of CID 104 is making News interestingly Different.... It is a unique programme on par with BBC but with a difference, and that is presenting in local language with emphasis on local content, which is the success mantra.

The highlights of this programme are that it has aired the bytes of almost all the celebrities of Odisha from all walks of life as well as many national and international celebrities, to name a few Guru Ravi Shankar, Baba Ram Dev, M.S. Dhoni, Sachin, Dilip Tirkey, Hema Malini, Alka Yagnik, Kiran Bedi and many more. It has given platform to celebrities to reach out to masses.

CID 104 has reached out to public where there is no television and given them information and entertainment. Weather reporting has been a major factor for its popularity. CID 104 did commendable job during Odisha floods when AIR CUTTACKTOWER was not in service, it reached out to remotest village and gave flood updates with the help of a tie up with weather department. Wide coverage of this programme was given in various print media, huge response with kudos to CID 104 by the listeners soared the charts of Radio Choklate in its ratings compared to the national players like Big FM and Sfm present in our town.

This programme was one of its kinds indeed in the FM world.

TODAY on this auspicious day of Christmas it completes 500 days, which includes 7500 episodes of being ON AIR with huge popularity remaining as ever. Its celebration time and Radio Choklate dedicates a week to Air the best of CID 104 from today onwards.
