Radio Mirchi urges Bengaluru to help flood victims in Bihar
MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM under the aegis of Mirchi Cares' has urged Bengalureans to come forward to support the flood victims through small contributions to help reinstate normalcy in Bihar.
In order to offer a helping hand in relief operations, the victims need to be rushed with necessary victuals like medications, shelter aid etc on an urgent basis. Listeners and citizens are requested to make contributions of non-perishable and durables items like ready to eat foods (Good life milk, Poha/Avalakki), Pulses/Dal, Rice grains, Cooking oil, shelter materials like Mats (Chape), Tarpaulin, Blankets (Kambli), medicines and drugs for fever, diarrhea etc…
To avoid mishandling of relief aid, Radio Mirchi has taken up this stand alone initiative, appealing contributors to drop their offerings and donations to special Mirchi branded cars that will be patrolling across select junctions of the city. The locations will be announced on-air on a daily basis. The contributions can also be dropped off at Radio Mirchi office by September 12th, 2008 (Monday).
