Radio Misty starts Save Electricity Campaign

MUMBAI: Radio Misty 94.3 fm, the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal have started  Save Electricity Campaign .This Year West Bengal is facing Acute Power shortage . Radio Misty as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (csr) has decided to switch off all lights except emergency service for transmission at its studios and office. Beside this all outdoor hoardings of Radio Misty will switch off lights during peak hours.

Electricity demand in west Bengal  have increased by 10 percent in last few years but this year it has  increased by 15 percent hence there is additional demand of 200 megawatts of electricity now. Summer has caused a sizable amount of scarcity in rivers as the result power generation has dropped. This crisis has made power cut in all parts of state. State Government has appealed people to switch off air conditioners at peak hour and take other necessary steps to save electricity.

Says Nishant Mittal, Chief Executive Officer, Radio Misty  we have started a on air campaign appealing people to save electricity. We are giving regular reminder to listeners' to switch off unnecessary equipments to save electricity. We are also asking listeners to come forward with unique ideas to save electricity and share them with others. Beside this in Radio Misty studios and Offices we are taking all possible measures to save electricity. Our outdoor hoardings lights are switched off in peak hours to save electricity. Radio Misty always support and take active part in this type of social causes.
