Vikas KohliÆs Monster Rock Orchestra was a success

MUMBAI: Monster Rock Orchestra (MRO), the signature performance of the 2013 Mississauga Waterfront Festival (MWF), was a resounding success as it doled out awesome music and an incredible laser show for the audience on 14-15 June 2013 at the Port Credit Memorial Park.

"This year the crowd was bigger than any of the years Monster Rock Orchestra has played at the festival," said Vikas Kohli, Producer, MRO. "The audience was amazing and screamed for encores on both nights!  It's all thanks to our top-notch musicians, my team, Joe Natale for overseeing the technical production, the Mississauga Waterfront Festival board of directors for having the vision to see this through, as well as the City of Mississauga and the sponsors for supporting us in this venture."

MP Stella Ambler, Ontario Minister of Finance Charles Souza, Mayor Hazel McCallion, Councillor Jim Tovey and Festival Chair Pat Anderson were present at the opening ceremony of the festival on Saturday, 15 June and commended MRO for its innovation, talent and creativity during their interaction with Kohli and the artists backstage.

The park was jam-packed with music lovers on both days. People of all ages enjoyed the performances by MRO as they sang along to one hit after another.  The set included some of the most memorable scores from Canadian icons of rock 'n' roll with an amazing display of lasers that lit up the night sky like never before.

The 2013 Mississauga Waterfront Festival has ended but there is still a lot going on at MRO!
