Justin Bieber & Steve Jobs feature in India's most Googled person

MUMBAI: Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber is featured in Google's top 10 list of most searched person by Indians in 2011. Bieber has ranked at the fifth position while bollywood actor Katrina kaif has topped the category. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs posthumously has also been included in the list at the Ninth position.

Jobs and popstar has also featured in the category of 'Fastest Rising People', which is the list of people that have gained interest of Internet users. No other music artiste, nationally or internationlly has made it to the top 10 list.

Google India head of products Lalitesh Katrgadda said, "Over 70 percent of search happened in non-metros and a lot of Internet usage moved to mobile phones."

Google unveiled its annual Zeitgeist report 2011 for India, compiling information on how their search engine was used in each country.
