NEW DELHI: Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar will receive the second K L Saigal award later this month. The nightingale of India has already been awarded with K L Saigal Sangeet Shehenshah Award in 2008.

The award will be presented by legend of music industry Padma Bhushan Khayyam who had earlier received this award. The 82 year old legend will be felicitated with lifetime achievement award along with her brother Pandit Hridyanath Mangeshkar.

Others who will be awarded at the event include actors Jeetendra, Sanjay Kapoor and Prem Chopra, music director Ravindra Jain, ghazal singer Penaz Masani and Jagjit Kaur, and maestro Ravi. The late producer Surendra Kapoor will be honoured posthumously.

The event will also have a musical programme by Prem Bhatia and group.

Organized by Savitri Vikas Samiti, the award ceremony will be held on 17 November at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.
