MTV president Christina Norman quits

MUMBAI: Christina Norman, president of MTV since 2005, has put in her papers to end her 17-year relationship with MTV Networks. Norman will leave the company at the end of the month.

MTV Networks music and logo group president Van Toffler will take on the day-to-day operations indefinitely while maintaining his group role.
In an internal memo, Toffler announces Norman's decision "to take the time to explore something new."

Norman was elevated to the post of president in 2005 after serving in the same role at VH1. She joined the company in 1991 as a production manager at MTV.

"It has been my great honour to work with Christina and she will always be part of the legend and success of our company," said Toffler in the memo. "We will miss her and I personally cannot wait to see what incredible feat she will conquer next with the same class and tenacity she has exemplified during her many years here."
