Radio Netherlands Worldwide to expand biz in India; appoints Srivastava as head

MUMBAI: Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW), a Dutch international public broadcaster available in India in short wave and satellite radio, is planning to expand its activities in India.RNW will establish mutually beneficial partnership with Indian media organisations.

For this purpose, RNW has appointed Amitabh Srivastava as country head India.

Srivastava has worked with some of the media brands like Times TV, MTV, BBC, TV Today and Walt Disney. He has been active in the TV, cable and satellite industry and has handled ground distribution system for several broadcasters in India and Asia.

RNW is a 24-hour radio service which provides news, background and cultural music programmes. RNW already has offices in various places including Brussels, Benin, Curacao, Costa Rica, Jakarta and New York.Currently RNW has partnership with more than 3,000 media organisations including USA National Public Radio, CBC in Canada, ABC in Australia and local FM stations in Africa, North America, Latin America and Indonesia, claims an official release.
