T-Series to introduce intl Mash-Up concept on New Year's Eve

MUMBAI: Experimenting with international musical concept Mash-Up, T-Series is all set to release its Zero Hour Mash-Up' single dance track featuring 2010-11 super hits on New Year's Eve.

The track conjured by DJ Kiran Kamath comprises of some of the biggest chartbusters from the movies like Ra-One, Mausam, Dum Maro Dum and Yamla Pagla Deewana. Some numbers from last year's Bhool Bhulaiyya and Dabbang has also been added.

The Mash Up track is produced by fusing two or more original songs to create a new musical experience. It is created by overlaying the vocal track of one song perfectly and smoothly over the instrumental track of another further. The concept is quiet popular in West.

Super Cassettes president Neeraj Kalyan said, This is the first time that music lovers in India have been introduced to the concept of a Mash Up. We had been working on this idea for some time. But we had to do a lot of thinking as far as selection of songs was concerned. We wanted it to be full of energy and a perfect dance track with a lot of rhythm and a fast tempo. And the overwhelming response on the Internet shows that listeners love it. We wanted to release it during end of the year, to add to the party mood....

The single will be released on New Year's Eve and will soon be available for online and mobile downloads.
