MUMBAI: Universal Music will launch singer Babul Supriyo's new album, titled 'Untitled' on 26 April.

The album consists of 10 songs. 'Untitled' is a neat mix of ballads and up tempo tunes. The lyrics of the songs 'Khushnuma', 'Sanwariya' and 'Yaadein' have been written by Nusrat Badr, who has recently penned tracks for Saawariya and Devdas. The video of 'sunnoh', another song in the album which is penned by Samrat Das, will be launched by 28 April, say company officials. The album took almost a year to produce. According to Universal's head of marketing, Sunil D'Sa, "Babul has a good fan following with two TV shows and was a very strong contender on NDTV Imagine's Dhoom Macha De. He has earned a high profile now and his reviews are always excellent."

'Untitled' would be the singer's third album. His first album was a popular one with the title track 'Sochta hun' topping the charts. Babul has consistently delivered several hits as a playback singer in popular Bollywood movies like Hum Tum, Fanaa and Vivaah. Also known as a Kishore Kumar soundalike, Babul has also cut remix albums in the past and dabbled in acting in Bangla feature films.
