The ever expanding world of dance music has brought to the forefront a number of great acts. Here are some of the upcoming DJs in the world of Electronic Dance Music on the hottest party playlists you need to look out for.

Deorro

Erick Orrosquieta, known worldwide as Deorro, is a Mexican American DJ signed to Ultra Records. His track ‘Five Hours’ topped charts worldwide last year, and his first single as a lead artist, ‘Yee’ charted in various countries and was used in various trance compilations in 2013. He tops the list of new entries in Djmag’s prestigious list of the Top 100 DJs in the world. His most recent single, a remake of ‘Five Hours’, titled ‘Five More Hours’, featuring R&B/ hip-hop artist- Chris Brown, is topping charts worldwide. He first came into the limelight after multiple successful remixes of tracks by DJ Chuckie, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke and Gareth Emery among others, and now has his own label called PandaFunk.

DVBBS

The Canadian dance music duo, formed in 2012, got their first major chartbuster in 2013 with ‘Tsunami’ which reached number one position in several countries worldwide. The track was officially released on Sander Van Doorn's label Doorn Records, and charted worldwide on iTunes, and also reached number one on Beatport 100. They toured extensively and visited India in November last year and performed at the Lalit Plaza, Mumbai and Royal Orchid Lawns, Bangalore. DVBBS collaborated with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as Borgeous on ‘Stampede’, which also reached number one on Beatport. 2014 saw them release ‘Goldskies’, yet another hit single with Martin Garrix and Sander Van Doorn. With tracks like ‘This is Dirty’ and ‘We Are Young’ they are ready to cause some massive destruction. Their recent songs are ‘Voodoo’, a collaboration with Jay Hardway and ‘White Clouds’ which was released late last month.

Oliver Heldens

Oliver Heldens, a Dutch music producer, began his career in 2013 after he was signed to Spinnin' Records. His track ‘Gecko’ propelled him to stardom after it caught the attention of Tiesto, who signed the track to his Musical Freedom label and released a new vocal version which peaked at number one on the DMC Magazine Buzz Chart. His next big hit was ‘Koala’, released in 2014. Heldens has collaborated with top artists like Sander Van Doorn and has popular remixes of chartbusters like ‘Animals’ by Martin Garrix and ‘Sky Full of Stars’ by Coldplay. His most recent tracks include ‘You Know’ (with Zeds Dead), ‘Melody’ and ‘Bunnydance.’

Borgore

His songs have been compared to horror movies, farm animals and sex. He sometimes performs under the nicknames: Borgina, Isabelle or Estrella. Asaf Borger, known professionally as Borgore, is an Israeli electronic dance music producer and DJ. He has released tracks under Dim Mak Records, Spinnin' Records, Sumerian Records and also his own label- Buygore. A founder of Buygore Records and former drummer of Israeli deathcore band Shabira, he is also part of the dubstep duo Alphamale Primates, which consists of him and Tomba. Self-described as "Gorestep", his music incorporates triplet drum patterns with heavy metal influences. He plays Dubstep, Trap and House music. His most recent releases are The Buygore Album and School Daze with Armada music.

DJ Kura

Ruben de Almeida, better known as DJ Kura, is a Portuguese electro house music DJ and producer. He has released tracks through Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, Ferry Corsten's Flashover Recordings, MYNC’s Cr2 Records, Tiger Records and others. His international breakthrough came with the track ‘Brazil’ which was picked up by Roger Sanchez and played on his infamous Release Yourself Radio Show. The track was released and Kura became one of the fastest risers in the Portuguese EDM scene.

His most recent tracks are ‘Blow Out’ and ‘Collide’ feat. Sarah Mount, and released by Oxygen Recordings (Spinnin' Records).

Yves V

Yves Van Geertsom, aka Yves V, is a Belgian DJ. Best known for his track ‘CloudBreaker’ which he made in collaboration with Belgian producer Basto, the beats brought by Yves V, were a standard at every big outdoor event. He has also worked with popular artists like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Angger Dimas, DJ Chuckie and others. With remixes for artists like Ian Carey, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine and many more, he plays the best of Electro, Groove and Progressive music.

His more recent tracks are ‘Magic’ with Sidney Samson, ‘Memories Will Fade’ and ‘The Right Time’ featuring Mike James.

Firebeatz

Formed in 2008, Firebeatz is a Dutch music producing duo made up of Tim Benjamin Smulders and Jurre van Doeselaar. The duo has gained fame through their dance floor hits like ‘Dear New York’, ‘Here We F*cking Go’ and ‘Helicopter’, and have worked alongside well-known acts like Calvin Harris, Tiësto and Martin Garrix. Their track ‘Wonderful’ was appreciated by established DJs such as Afrojack, Chuckie, Sander van Doorn, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Thomas Gold and R3hab.

Their more recent tracks are ‘Rage’ with Sander Van Doorn and Julian Jordan, and ‘Darkside’.

Gabry Ponte

Gabriele "Gabry" Ponte is an Italian DJ, best known as part of the Italian dance group, Eiffel 65. Their song ‘Blue (Da ba dee)’ has become like an anthem over the years. His single ‘Buonanotte Giorno’ was a hit in Italy, charting at number one on iTunes in 2014. After Eiffel 65 split, Gabry continued his solo work with Bliss Corporation. Combining dance culture with pop music, his 2012 single ‘Beat on My Drum’ that featured Pitbull on vocals was a huge hit. With millions of views on his YouTube DJing videos where he has mixed live, he is entering a new stage in his career. He also has four volumes of a ‘Dance and Love’ selection album.

VINAI

VINAI is an Italian electronic music group formed by Andrea and Alessandro Vinai. As a duo they have produced EDM songs such as ‘Louder’ and ‘How We Party’. Known for a particular producing style called Melbourne Bounce, VINAI signed with Time Records to release the track ‘Hands Up’ in 2013, which received radio play from artists such as Tiesto, Showtek, DVBBS, Deorro, Quintino, Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, and others.

Their most recent singles are ‘Louder’ (with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike), ‘Legend’ and ‘The Wave.’

DJ Snake

With the world currently grooving to ‘Lean On’, William Grigahcine, aka DJ Snake is one to look out for this year. A French DJ, rapper and producer, his debut in the international scene came with hit singles ‘Bird Machine’ and ‘Turn Down for What’ in 2013. With chart toppers like ‘Turn Down for What’, ‘Get Low’, ‘You Know You Like it’, he has also been listed as one of ‘Artists to Watch’ by Fox Weekly. ‘Turn Down for What’ received a prestigious Grammy Award nomination for (Best Music Video) earlier this year, and also won Best Direction at the MTV Video Music Awards. The music video for ‘Lean On’ with Major Lazer featuring MO, which was shot in Mumbai, India, is topping charts worldwide, and currently has more than 108 million views on YouTube.
