MUMBAI: As Mother's Day approached, the radio stations geared up, becoming part of the occasion, making it more special with their pleasant efforts. Although, almost the entire radio family has something pleasant to deliver, Radio Mirchi, Big FM, My FM and Club FM are taking endeavors to touch new heights.

Radio Mirchi (Amritsar)

Radio Mirchi (Amritsar) coming up with a jocular sounding activity, 'Ma Ki Aankh'. The Programming Head, Pervez Bhateja says, " It sounds as if Microscope was inspired by ‘Ma ki Aankh’ because she is the one who can find anything and everything. From your tears to your fears, excitement level to anxiety level, from your need to greed everything is visible to her, so this Mothers Day, Radio Mirchi in Amritsar and Patiala will celebrate all these and many more qualities of Mother."

Club FM (Kochi)

For exceptional celebration, Club FM move towards special song packaging. The Club FM, Programming Head, Priyaraj says,"The RJ will play a song of an artiste but with a twist. He will play the song stating the listeners that they are going to hear Chinnathayee or Kareema Begum son's song. Nobody knows the two ladies who gave birth to the music legends, Ilayaraja and A.R.Rahman.This is our special effort towards these great mothers."

MY FM

MY Fm planned a heart warming proposal for Mother’s Day for which MY FM CEO, Mr. Harrish M Bhatia said, “Mothers are the strongest pillar in our lives and she is the first person whom we get connected in this world , she is also our first 'listener' and first "singer" we come into contact , it is very rightly said, as God could not be present everywhere he created mothers. On this special occasion of Mother’s day MY FM gives an opportunity to its employees to do something special for the person whose love and prayers are unconditional. Employees can treat their mother with lunch/Dinner or surprise her with the gifts of her choice to make her feel elated. The expenses for the same is borne by the company. This is our way of spreading happiness in the lives of our employees and their family who stand by the company at all the times”.

Big FM

Big Fm, obviously going their way out to celebrate the Mother's day juncture. The private FM celebrates this Mother's Day with its listeners by paying an ode to all Indian Mother's who have stood strong through thick and thin. RJ Richa Anirudh shares her life journey with her fans this Mother’s Day. Being from a small city, how Richa’s mother has continuously been a support system throughout her journey and motivated her make a place of her own in the world. The radio network,BIG FM, will highlight the sacrifices made by every mother in the process of looking after her family. The two hour film aptly named - ‘Maa Ka Sapna’ will feature the story of a mother and her lost passion that her children will help her relive. The film will feature contemporary actress Swara Bhaskar, in the lead across HSM markets and Kolkata. Big FM also tied up with two NGOs- Hamara Bachpan Campaign and Teresa The Ocean of Humanity Foundation. The radio station will take total 100 children from both the NGOs to make them watch the movie 'Nil Battey Sannata'.
