MUMBAI: Holi, which is widely celebrated across India, highlights colours, water balloons, food, and more. It goes without saying that music is the essential part of this spirited festival. Given here are some popular Holi festivals around the nation where music will play a pivotal role on 13 March 2017. Take your pick before heading for any.

Holy Moo! Festival, Delhi

Holy Moo! is a well know Holi festival that enters its eleventh year in 2017. Inspired by Holi, Holi Moo! combines the traditional revelry of the festival of colours with a mix of music, art and culture. For Holi Moo! Delhi, there will be four stages showcasing different genres such as world music, indie, trap, reggae, electronica and hip-hop.

Artistes such as Tipriti Kharbangar, Gowri Jayakumar, Delhi-based artiste Tritha Electric + Friends, acclaimed Polish singer and composer Anna Maria Jopek and her band, DJ Mo City, DJs Rufu MoFo, Gags, Masterkids + Harry Hop-Chemy, Sidharth Talwar, DJ Gav, will be performing at Holy Moo! Also India’s most proficient techno DJ and producer Kohra, bass music producer Oceantied, live electronica act Curtain Blue, Moniker will be performing among others.

Bollyboom - Holi Bash 2017

Back after a hiatus of two years, Bollyboom - Holi Bash 2017 will feature DJ Chetas, and our very own ‘Bass Raja’ Nucleya, along with DJ Amann Nagpal, DJ Shireen live on the 13 March 2017 at Hotel Tulip Star, Mumbai.

The Official DJ for the Kolkata Knight Riders, DJ Chetas, has ranked World No. 33 on the DJ MAG Top 100 DJs in 2016, also ranked India's No.1 Bollywood DJ. Nucleya, who is known for his bass-heavy sounds, has played a number of gigs across the country and abroad too.

Bollywood Holi Fusion, Mumbai

After the austere winter, spring ushers with colours. Bollywood Holi Fusion, at its first edition, will feature the most prolific DJ Akhtar. Joining him will be DJ Cyrus and DJ Karma along with the sensation of Dance Plus 2 fame - Piyush and many others. It will be happening at Lokhandwala Ground, Andheri, Mumbai on 13 March.

Holi Day at Junga Campsite, Shimla

Holi brings in great opportunity to play and be you. For adventure-lovers, this year, there is an opportunity to celebrate Holi weekend (11-13 March) at Junga Campsite. They have a special package where you stay at the campsite and push the boat out on Holi.

Holi by the Beach, Pondicherry

Pondicherry's biggest annual on the beach Holi Festival featuring an amazing line-up of Indian and international music artistes along with a day full of colours, rain dance, street food stalls and family fun stalls. Holi by the Beach will feature DJ Miki Love, DJ Savyo, K Lee, and Zbinzy. The festival will take place at The Ashok Beach Resort, Chinna Kalapet, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu on 13 March.

Holiwood Music and Food Festival, Okhla

This particular event will celebrate the festival of colours with musical and food extravaganza Holiwood. Enjoy the spirit of this vibrant festival with full enthusiasm and gaiety along with 30 DJs performing live in the grand 'Holiwood' party at NSIC grounds, Okhla. Two different stages for EDM and Bollywood throughout the day, 10 grand food stalls, rain dance, pool party, safe organic colours await at this spectacular celebration that holds no bounds. Amidst endless enjoyment, the security has been given utmost importance, because of which the venue has separate zones for girls and couples, along with 150 bouncers spread all across the grounds.

Holi at Essel World Water Kingdom

EsselWorld and Water Kingdom, Mumbai's most popular amusement and Water Park, are all set to enthral Mumbaikars yet again for a two-day Holi with music and fun-filled celebration. No colours but music and thrill are the idea of entertainment this Holi. Shibani Kashyap will launch her latest single at the Water Kingdom on 12 March 2017, followed by DJ Karma who will get the crowd grooving with the latest Bollywood numbers on 13 March. To enhance the fun quotient, also present would be the contestants of Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, who through their peppy numbers will keep the crowd entertained throughout.
