MUMBAI: Indian handset brand Lava just launched a new smartphone in its 'Iris' series called Iris Alfa L.
The dual-sim smartphone features a 5.5-inch qHD (960x540p) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, has 1GB RAM, and comes with 8GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. It sports an 8MP autofocus PureCel rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera.
The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is the latest version of Google's mobile operating system, and packs a 3,000mAh battery. Lava claims that the battery delivers up to 12 days of standby time (with single sim) and up to 13 hours 15 mins of talk time (3G).
Available in white and metallic grey colours, the phone supports 3G networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB 2.0. The smartphone measures 9.35mm in thickness and weighs 165 gms.
The Lava Iris Alfa L is available across retail stores, multi-brand outlets and online stores at Rs 8,000.
