MUMBAI: Micromax announced the launch an upgraded version of Canvas Selfie Lens smartphone on 23 June. The smartphone enables users to click wide selfies, images and videos.

The Canvas Selfie Lens features a 5 inch HD IPS display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and sports an 8MP AF rear camera with Largan lens, Sony Sensors and LED flash, ensuring high quality pictures. It also features a 5MP FF front camera with Largan lens and OV sensors. The Canvas Selfie Lens boasts a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor along with 1 GB DDR3 RAM.

Running on the latest Android Lollipop 5.0, the smartphone gives users access to features including voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritisation etc. The Canvas Selfie Lens includes a 2800 mAh battery, which is said to deliver a talk time of 9 hours and standby time of 374 hours. The smartphone also comes with an internal memory of 8 GB, expandable to 32 GB.

The device, priced at Rs 8,299, is available in white + champagne and moondust gray colours. Additionally, Vodafone users get 500 MB 3G data free for 2 months on purchase of the smartphone.
