Panasonic launches new smartphone Eluga Icon

MUMBAI: Panasonic has launched its new smart phone Eluga Icon on 10 August and is available online via Amazon India. Available in Golden and Slate colours, dons a battery of 3500mAh battery and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 720x1280. It also a One Glass Solution (OGS) display.

The smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core and consists of 2GB RAM and an inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be expanded upto 32GB. Eluga Icon also has 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The secondary camera consists 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone features iSense, Smart Awake, Blink Play. iSense is a hand hover gesture, whilst Smart Awake wake up the screen on double tap. Blink Play is a feature which enables the user to click selfies with a blink of an eye. It also has a MediaTek's HotKnot file transfer technology, which is similar to near field communications application.

Apart from supporting 4G, the smartphone also dons various other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, OTG support, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. It also has ambient light sensor, accelerometer, e-compass, and proximity sensors.

The phone is priced at Rs. 10,999.
