MUMBAI: Samsung finally launches its much awaited Galaxy Grand Max in India. The smartphone, which was premiered in Korea last month, will be available exclusively via online retailer Snapdeal.
The smartphone features a new pattern on the rear panel, different from the regular Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat-based Galaxy Grand Max variant that was launched in India comes with dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) support. It has a 5.25-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD TFT display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1.5 GB RAM.
Speaking on the launch of the smartphone, Snapdeal.com Senior Vice-President, Electronics and Home Tony Navin said, “Samsung is a leading brand for introducing revolutionary smartphones globally and in India and we are thrilled to be partnering Samsung in launching their highly anticipated Galaxy Grand Max exclusively.”
The smartphone boasts 16 GB built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card to up to 64 GB. It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensor, LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that comes with 120 degree wide viewing angle lens.
Connectivity options on the Galaxy Grand Max include 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, Glonass, and FM radio. It is backed by a 2500mAh replaceable battery. The device measures 146.1x75x7.9mm and weighs 161 grams.
The Galaxy Grand Max will be available in Grey and White colours and is priced at Rs. 15,990.
