MUMBAI: British pop singer- Jessie J has reportedly broken up with her singer-songwriter beau Luke James because she feared he was only using her for fame.

"Jessie fell hard for Luke, but over the summer she started having doubts," a source told The Sun newspaper, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

James had stopped following Jessie on Twitter, and in the early hours of Thursday morning, she posted a motivational message to a fan on the micro-blogging website.

The tweet came after the 27-year old singer went on a rather long Twitter rant, encouraging her followers to live a positive and happy life.

Earlier this month, James had shared a cryptic message on the site which read, "Love is all you need, when it's real."

The duo's split comes as a surprise to many as just a few months ago the ‘Bang Bang’ crooner was talking about her desire to start a family.

Asked what else she would like to do with her life, she said, "Have a baby - not today! But that's something that I hope that I'm blessed with in my life."
