MUMBAI: Alankar Mahtolia and Sreekanth Hariharan were declared the winners of the third edition of Big Golden Voice, conducted by Big FM. Five participants made it to the final rounds of the contest, which was judged by Bollywood singer and composer- Shankar Mahadevan. The finale was hosted by RJ Dilip.
Born in Nainital, Mahtolia said, “I would like to thank Big FM and Shankar Sir for believing in me. It is indeed a great honour to win Big Golden Voice Season three. I am speechless. This is my first win at a national level. Though it never felt like a competition, as every kid came in with their specialty in specific genre. Some were good in folk while some excelled in Sufi. I was confident about my practice and knew that I do stand a strong chance to win.”
Another winner, Hariharan said, “I thank Shankar Sir for mentoring us and Big FM for giving us this platform. Big Golden Voice is indeed a huge national platform where I got to perform.”
Speaking about the competition and its contestants, Mahadevan said, “Big FM gave me an amazing opportunity to judge and mentor the talented singers who come on the show. I am glad that through this show, we can provide them with a platform to showcase their talents. Big Golden Voice has indeed come as a blessing to these talented singers.”
The event witnessed performances from singers like Digvijay Singh and Sayani Palit, who participated in the previous edition of Big Golden Voice. Mahadevan even promised that a lot of the participants will be heard singing for Bollywod projects.
Big Golden Voice Season three received more than one lakh entries from all over the world, out of which 12 finalists were shortlisted and five of them made it to the finals.
