MUMBAI: Bollywood's twin sisters - Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar recently launched their YouTube channel with a mash up of John Legend's ‘All Of Me’ and the popular Hindi track ‘Sun Saathiya’ from the film ‘ABCD2’.

“Prakriti and I have been performing live for a long time. We compose music together, and we even made our Bollywood debuts almost in the same year. After releasing our songs, people were always asking us what would come next. We thought that a YouTube channel of our own would be a great idea. And our elder sister, Akriti, also pushed us to put up digital content. So finally we launched the channel with a mash up of two great songs. We do mashups at our live concerts as well and people love them,” said Sukriti.

The duo is elated with the kind of responses they have been getting from audiences. ‘Sun Saathiya’ composer duo- Sachin-Jigar also gave the sisters' latest track a thumbs. “One of the best things was that even Akriti liked the track, and we really look up to her for feedback. We cannot wait to put out our next single,” exclaimed Sukriti. The next track is already finished, she revealed.

It took them a couple of days to complete the latest release; one day to shoot and one day to record it. The idea of the mashup came when the sisters were jamming together. The duo have not tied up with any social media agency as they want to know how many people they can reach out to on their own.

Initially, the girls intend to put out a few covers and remakes or reprised versions of their favourite tracks, and then plan to release original content on their new YouTube channel. The content will be updated every two weeks.
