MUMBAI: After bringing Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond and Infected Mushroom to India’s party capital last year, Vh1 Supersonic has once again ensured festival goers will get their money’s worth at the upcoming edition of the festival. Three major names were announced to play at the festival, including American EDM artist- Deorro, Canadian electro music duo- Zeds Dead, and 2014 Grammy Award nominees, British duo- Disclosure.
Apart from this exciting news on the music front, Vh1 has also announced its partnership with Dutch Techno organisation- The Awakening, which will be curating the techno stage at Vh1 Supersonic Goa Festival. Continuing its successful partnership with UKF & Arm House, this time the music festival plans to give drum and bass fans an enthralling experience by curating the Drum and Bass Stage at Vh1 Supersonic.
India’s definitive dance music festival, which enters its third year, promises a holistic experience for its fans. Speaking about the festival, Viacom 18 SVP and business head Jaideep Singh said, “From starting a festival in 20 days in its inaugural year, to 110 events last year, to 160 events this year, Supersonic has seen an interesting musical journey.”
Singh is also confident that the exciting line-up of artists and associations with the global music fraternity will be an experience that fans will remember for a long time.
The 4-day festival, will be held in Candolim, Goa, from 27th to 30th December 2015. With many more artists yet to be announced, Vh1 Supersonic has justified its tag of creating an unparalleled platform for musicians and fans with unadulterated music and dance.
The performers for the upcoming edition were revealed during a party held by the organisers in Asilo, Palladium hotel in Mumbai on 30 September. The names include Deorro – Mexican American DJ, Erick Orrosquieta, formerly known as Ton!c, Zeds Dead - Canadian electronic music duo from Toronto and Disclosure - English electronic music duo.
