MUMBAI: DJ Chetas has become the first Indian DJ to feature in DJ Mag top 100 DJs poll for 2015. DJ Chetas, who is known for his remixes and mashups for top Bollywood movies, landed at the 59th spot in the list.

“It feels great to be featured in the Top 100 DJs list. Being at par with renowned DJs worldwide is an honour. This is now a great platform for all Indian artists to leave an international imprint with their music," DJ Chetas said in a statement.

"My mission stays the same. I want to take Indian music to the world. I am optimistic of fulfilling this mission and the DJ Mag top 100 DJs feature is just the beginning,” he added.

Talking about the current music scenes, he said, “Preferences of the audience are changing faster than fashion now days."

"One cannot sub divide genres of music any more. I am against categorising my music. For me, it’s all about getting the crowd of the dance floor engaged in my performance. This is why people see me shifting through multiple genres in a simple three-hour set," he added.

"At the end of the day, as a DJ you need to serve the audience what they want, the way they want it! It’s your creativity that makes you differ from your counterparts!”
