MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and Bollywood actress Geeta Basra’s sangeet ceremony, which took place last night (27 October), turned out to be a musical one in a true sense, with Gurdas Maan and Mika Singh performing at the event. The celebration that took place last night went on well into the wee hours of the morning, with some soul touching music by the singers.

The celebration began with Maan setting the stage on fire, after which Singh is said to have taken it to a whole new level. Both singers sang for two hours each, and a source present there said, “It was indeed a pleasure watching them perform.”

Singh, who also happens to be a family friend of the Indian cricketer, performed at the sangeet ceremony for free. However, the ‘Jumme Ki Raat’ singer will not be performing at the wedding. “Mika is flying to France for another event around that time,” said his manager Kawaljit Singh.

The wedding celebration, which has already begun, includes mehendi, sangeet, wedding and reception, and will be held over five days. The celebrations began on 26 October, with the wedding set to take place on 29 October. It will be followed by a reception on 1 November, 2015.
