MUMBAI: Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Gwyneth Paltrow are trying "really hard" to make their relationship "better" for the sake of their children.
The former couple called time on their 12-year marriage last year but, although the romantic side of their relationship crumbled, they are determined to keep a strong bond to ensure their children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, are unaffected, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Speaking on radio jockey Ryan Seacrest's show, Martin said, "Just because a romantic relationship ends doesn't mean that the other facets of your relationship have to end or, indeed, doesn't mean they can't get better."
The ‘Fix You’ singer earlier said, although the split was heartbreaking, he was able to figure out where he had "gone wrong" in the past after he separated from Paltrow.
He explained, "I went through some big changes... everyone knows about them. (I was able to) figure out where I've gone wrong in my way of looking at the world.”
"A few years ago I was in a low place in my life and was feeling kind of down and confused. Some friends gave me a book and a poem and those two things started me off on this whole journey where I just feel so happy to be alive," added the 38-year-old musician.
