MUMBAI: Blenders Pride Fashion Tour this year will witness some great music from Gaurav Raina of GRAIN. The music producer will be collaborating with musicians like Kutle Khan, Apeksha Dandekar, Func, and Karsh Kale to bring a right mix of electronic rhythms and rustic beats to the stage.
The music has been specially curated by the musicians to liven-up to the unique styles of the fashion designers at Blenders Pride Fashion Tour. And to make the occasion even more special, the musicians will be playing the music live while designs are being presented on stage.
The fashion tour will be held in Mumbai on 4th and 5th December, during which Func - aka Randolph - and Kutle Khan will perform on day one. Func, who has been associated with the tour for some years, will present some mid-tempo trip hop vocal style with Khan adding a rustic touch. Func with his upbeat electronic beats has collaborated with the seductive and rhythmically complex style of multi-talented Kutle Khan to bring alive the fusion of contemporary and traditionally rooted beats aligned to the collection of Rahul Mishra and JJ Valaya.
Day two of the fashion show will witness Karsh Kale, who by mixing disparate genres of music such as Indian classical and folk with electronica, rock, pop and ambient music, has interpreted the work of Masaba and Rohit Gandhi - Rahul Khanna in a unique way. He has united with Apeksha Dandekar to add some ‘funk’ and ‘pop’ to the unconventional and quirky designs curated by both the designers giving a western, up-tempo feel to the audience.
Blenders Pride Fashion Tour is an annual fiesta presenting a melange of design, music and technology across various cities in the country.
