Shankar MahadevanÆs son Siddharth denies æcardiac arrestÆ news

MUMBAI: The media has been abuzz with news of well-known music composer-singer Shankar Mahadevan being hospitalised due to cardiac arrest. However, it was just learnt from his son that this news is untrue.

Radioandmusic.com contacted Mahadevan’s son Bollywood music composer and singer Siddharth Mahadevan and he denied the news. “He did not have a cardiac arrest. The news is so untrue,” said Siddharth. “He fainted and that is when we rushed him to a hospital where he underwent an angiography. But, the main reason for his health condition is overexertion. He is just overworked,” added Siddharth.

“He never says a ‘no’ to anybody when it comes to taking up work. It’s just too hard for him to deny anybody. This is what has lead to his health condition, however, now the doctors have asked him to take rest for a good 15 days,” revealed the ‘Zinda’ singer.

Siddharth further informed that all the gigs lined up for Shankar Mahadevan for the next 15 days will be cancelled or pushed for a later date.

Mahadevan was in Delhi when he had to be rushed to the hospital where he is still undergoing treatment. The incident took place on Friday (4 December, 2015).

Here’s wishing Mahadevan a speedy recovery.
