MUMBAI: The first two days of VH1 Supersonic lived up to their expectations and revellers walked out of the venue with sand on their tired feet and the feeling of utter satisfaction on their faces. What is assured is the fact that these feet would return in the coming hours for another six hours of electronic music and few acts no one would care to miss.
Here's what to expect -
OX7GEN
A brief look back into the musicians who surfaced into the electronic 'scene' in India would provide a few names that carry promise and purpose wherever they express their music- clubs, festivals, studios or even a private set-up for friends and fans. Aditya Ashok, or OX7GEN, released his EP ‘Recess’ over three months ago, and the drum n bass musician has travelled and played at various venues promoting his music. OX7GEN could not have asked for a better opportunity to end 2015. Catch the artist on the Laboratoire stage just before the sun sets
Paul Ritch
The French techno producer, since his debut, has experimented with style and that speaks volumes for his adaptability. Experimentation is the 'new' trend electronic producers tend to follow. But, Ritch not only managed to survive the change, but ensured that his previous works aren't forgotten. Ritch's love for dominant percussions is well-known, but the artist has gradually shifted to a bit groovier soundscape, and his fans are definitely not complaining. Ritch takes the highly pro-techno marvellous Awakenings stage at 7 pm and this is what can expected tonight
Deorro
The Mexican-American DJ is not new to the pressure of performing at new venues, and the 'progressive house' producer made all the headlines when the line-ups were announced. The growth of Deorro is a story that needs to be told, but that’s for some other day. If house music makes one feel alive and happy, the main stage at 7 p.m. would certainly do that, thanks to Deorro.
