Mumbai: The Indian metal scene goes full throttle in early 2016 with 4 gigs in 4 different cities on the same day. 9 January, 2016 is the day when Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi will witness a full blown metal attack by the best bands in the country. With year 2015 ending on a heavy note, by some stellar performances from the likes of Megadeth, Belphegor, Napalm Death amongst other Indian acts, 9 January brings in the perfect start for 2016.

Thunderstorm Vol. 2 – Thane, Mumbai

Mumbai will experience a double whammy with headliners Demonic Resurrection and Cosmic Infusion at the second edition of Thunderstorm at Goa Portuguesa. Also Mumbai based Doom/Death Metal Band Primitiv will launch their debut album ‘Immortal and Vile’. The hard hitting line up consists of Mumbai based Killchain, Pune-based doom metal band Dirge, Mumbai based Darkrypt, progressive metal act Five of Castles and Wrath.

Reverse Scenario, Pune

6th Element Inc has brought a metal monster for Pune metal heads at Classic Rock Cafe. With a brutal line-up headlined by Delhi based Undying Inc., the gig promises a power packed experience. Other bands on the bill include Pune based Dark Helm, Mumbai based brutal death metal band Gutslit, thrash metallers Chaos, Pune based thrash / death metal act Halahkuh, and Pune based Dead Exaltation and Last Rituals.

Dirty Ego Vol.-1, Hyderabad

Taking place at Houz Of Blues, Dirty Ego Vol.-1 will change it to the Houz of Metal for a day. Metal is definitely spreading across the county with this killer line up. Dirty Ego marks a special comeback of Hyderabad based Thrash Metal band Perpetual Void. The gig boasts of other performances by Asylum, Hyderabad based Escharified and Primal Abuse, old school metal act Vidyut, Vengeance Falls and NBS.

Infernal Fest, Kochi

Kochi metalheads gear up for Inferrnal fest taking place at Q8 Performing Arts Centre, Gold Souk Grande. The heavy line-up features black metal act Brusque, Bengaluru based death metallers Necrophilia and black metal band Antakrit, vedicmetal act Wings of Varyaag, thrash metal band Amorphia, death metallers Occultism and Pantera tribute band Black Tooth Grin.
